A magnet in each switch lets the board measure travel instead of waiting for a metal contact. That is what makes adjustable actuation and Rapid Trigger possible on magnetic keyboards.

Rapid Trigger: reset the instant you let go
Magnetic (Hall-effect) switches measure how far a key is pressed instead of closing a metal contact. The board fires and resets from the direction of your finger, not from a fixed point, so quick taps and counter-strafes register faster. You choose the actuation point yourself.
Polling rate
8000Hz polling: a report every 0.125 ms
At 8,000 reports per second the device talks to your PC eight times more often than a standard 1000Hz one. Cursor movement and key presses arrive in finer steps, which you notice most at high sensitivity and high refresh rates.
Sound and feel
Gasket-mounted for a cushioned typing feel
Instead of being screwed to the case, the plate floats on soft gaskets. Keystrokes bottom out with a gentle give and a deeper, cleaner sound, and layers of dampening foam keep the case from ringing.
