Magnetic (Hall-effect) switches measure how far a key is pressed instead of closing a metal contact. The board fires and resets from the direction of your finger, not from a fixed point, so quick taps and counter-strafes register faster. You choose the actuation point yourself.
Polling rate
8000Hz polling: a report every 0.125 ms
At 8,000 reports per second the device talks to your PC eight times more often than a standard 1000Hz one. Cursor movement and key presses arrive in finer steps, which you notice most at high sensitivity and high refresh rates.
