Mouse pad size guide
The right pad size depends on your mouse sensitivity and your desk. Low sensitivity needs more room to swipe; high sensitivity works on a smaller pad.
Match the pad to your sensitivity
If you move your whole arm to aim, choose a large or extended pad so you never run out of surface. If you aim with your wrist and use high sensitivity, a smaller pad is enough and leaves more desk space.
AULA pad sizes
Measure your desk first, then compare.
- MP-WFFM: 700 x 300 mm, a Samurai-art pad with a rubber base, a good middle size.
- F-X5 RGB: 800 x 300 mm with a glowing RGB edge and 14 lighting modes.
- MP-XL: 900 x 400 mm in speed fabric with a rubber base, large enough for keyboard and mouse together.
Speed or control surface
Speed surfaces let the mouse glide with little resistance and suit fast flicks. Control surfaces add friction and suit precise, slow aim. If you are unsure, a speed surface is the more common starting point for gaming.
Base and edges
A rubber base keeps the pad from sliding on a smooth desk. Stitched or sealed edges last longer because they do not fray. Wipe the pad with a slightly damp cloth when it collects dust.
